The purpose of our study is to find and analyse publications on cultural and educational topics in one of the periodicals of the «Ukrainian Press» concern, namely the popular illustrated newspaper «Nash Prapor», which over a long period (1923‒1939) had a significant impact on the formation of civic stance of its readers, as well as to identify the most frequently discussed topics, the team of authors of these materials, which included leading representatives of Ukrainian politics and culture. To achieve the goal, a number of tasks were implemented, namely: the content of all issues of the newspaper was studied and the names of the persons who contributed to the topic we declared were recorded, dictionaries of pseudonyms were reviewed to establish the authorship of individual articles, as well as the memories of those who took a direct part in the press and educational process of Galicia in the 1920s and 1930s. The study is relevant, since «Nash Prapor» was considered by researchers only in general, as a part of the rather extent press market of the specified period. The novelty of the article is evidenced by the fact that, having studied the content of the newspaper, it was possible to find a lot of publications about the cultural and educational state of Ukrainian society during the period of the newspaper's existence, to characterise the possibilities for its development proposed by the contributors, to systematise these materials, and also to determine their authorship. Research methods: analytical, historical-bibliographic, biographical. Conclusions: In its publications, the newspaper “Nash Prapor” actively disseminated information among Galician readers about the state of Ukrainian schooling and the activities of educational organisations, analysed their shortcomings, suggested ways to improve them, and also became a reliable source of information for contemporary scholars.
