Complaints and Appeals Procedure

The journal ensures a transparent and impartial process for handling complaints related to alleged breaches of publication ethics, academic integrity, or editorial procedures.

Submission of Complaints

Complaints may be submitted in writing by authors, reviewers, or third parties to the editorial office, clearly stating the nature of the concern and, where possible, providing supporting evidence.

Handling of Complaints

After the editorial office confirms receipt of the appeal, the complaint is considered by the editorial board or an authorized person in accordance with the principles of confidentiality and impartiality; if necessary, independent experts or additional materials from the parties may be involved.

Decisions and Outcomes

Following the review, the editorial board may decide that:

  • no ethical breach has occurred;
  • a correction is required;
  • the article should be retracted

All parties are informed of the outcome within a reasonable timeframe.

Principles

All complaints are handled in accordance with COPE guidelines and applicable Ukrainian legislation. Submitting a complaint in good faith does not result in any adverse consequences for the complainant.
